Bitten Fruit Books is Open to Queries

If and when working with authors, our goal is to give a voice to unusual, less mainstream work within genre fiction, especially for first-time UK authors. We want to help you get off the ground and be able to say you are a published author. We are a micro-publisher based in the United Kingdom – we are small, niche, and a family-run business and we don't pretend to be anything other than that. We only work with one author at a time, which can mean only publishing one or two new authors a year.  Query Guidelines We publish new authors under two imprints: Bitten Fruit Books (contemporary romance, women's fiction, contemporary thrillers) and Between Fire & Ice (dark fantasy, paranormal romance, gothic fiction, horror, supernatural thrillers). New Year, New Genres

2026 and 2027 will see an active expansion to include contemporary romance, women's fiction, supernatural thrillers, and action-adventure in our publishing categories, while our imprint Satin Smoke Press continues to publish dark fantasy, horror, and paranormal romance. We are also planning a bi-yearly magazine to showcase a range of authors' works that cover all the above genres.
